Difference in LS400 years
Can you guy tell me the difference between 93-96 LS400?
What is a good price for a 93-94 LS400?
How many options is there on the LS?
What options should I avoid?
Thanks in Advance,

some people think the first generation LS was the most well built in terms of durability of materials, but the second generation and later gets bigger and more powerful.
you should definitely avoid air suspension option because when it has problems it's very expensive to repair.
you can get realistic pricing at edmunds.com

Edmunds.com only give the general pricing. Its does not has realistic price.
I am asking how much do you guy value your car (Year + options). How much would you pay if you're buying a particular year...

Also '93 is about 200 pound heavier!! (stronger, more quality parts !!)
I also strongly recommand you to stay away from the air suspension option; when the air shocks fail, they cause so much to fix e.g. two front air shocks $900.00 each (parts only) two rear air shocks $700.00 (parts only) plus labor. You know what I mean
.
As far as the ride, '93 & '96 are almost the same. They are very quiet. Oh! '96 has more horse power; wheel base is longer so the rear passenger has 1" to 2" more leg room.
I notice the blue book value of '96 is a lot higher than '95 . There is a big price gap between the 1st & 2nd generation LS. you can check Kelly blue book price at www.kbb.com.. I suggest you offer the wholesale price (minus whatever defective parts)and don't bother with the retail price. Car dealer normally offer trade in $3000 to $4000 or more below wholesale price to customers trade in.

Thanks Perplexed,
That is exactly what we were looking for! The 95+ seems to have a better header system for more torque and horsepower according to the article, its only ten more ea.. Not much of a diffrence in power ouput.

Purplexed,
How's your car running? Any problems?
When you were looking for your LS400, did you see a lot of traction control, heated seats, car down there in CA?
I am planning to move back to CA soon. I wonder should I wait and look for it there or get one here in the northeast and ship it back.

Purchase in california
My car is running fine, no problems.
Regarding California cars. Dont think you will find much need for heated seats in california, at least not in southern california.
There are plenty of LS400's, my suggestion is to look at www.autotrader.com then put in a zip code for the area you will be in . Range of 100 miles to do the search. See what kind of selection there is in your proposed area.
Good Luck
