Default Injen Intake Problems

i just installed my injen intake for me 1993 ls400 and when is on idle is jumps up and down alot. I reset the ecu and everything and it still jumps up and down. Does anyone else have an injen intake or knows any tips to fix this problem?

It's not the Injen intake. I would find out what the problem is before I start doing the other intake mods. While the Injen may not gain much HP at all, it surely doesn't make your car run they way you describe. I ran the Injen intake on my 93 SC400 which is virtually identical to your 1UZ-FE engine in the LS with no problems.

dude, your car is doing what mine did for a little while until it went all bizarro on me. Check that MAF sensor. Just cause its connected doens't mean it's working right...have you got a check engine light yet?

Yo. I know where you got the intake...i used to be part owner.

Check your MAF. Something is wrong. Also check all your hoses. Mine is fine, no problems at all.

Have you confirmed that your car still idles perfectly without the Injen by swapping the stock intake back in? There are so many people using Injen Intakes on LS and SC that it can't be the product. Either that or all those people are just lucky.

the MAF wire (inside the tube) is VERY sensitive to contaminants and oil has been known to knock them out pretty quick. most cases ive seen stem from K&N/injen/other oiled air filters being over-oiled by owners and then not properly dried.
