Okae, i'm new to the engine modding part of a car and I just got an Injen intake with heatshield for my 95 sc400... the thing that concerns me the most is that little contraption on the metal part of the intake just above the stock airbox. What is this part? and will it work with the Injen intake or will I have to find something to adapt it?

That is called your MAF. You need to be very careful about messing with that. Seek instructions from Injen on that.
