Guys, 98 LS, for some reason the light went out for the shifter, the one that illuminates PRND4321 by the shifter. How do I get to that light, how do I remove the wood panel? any screws? what should I look out for?

i have this problem too except its on a 91 ls400 and it didnt go out totally it just went out and then comes back on from time to time. for me im guessing loose wire or fuse?? and ideas there too?

 

use the LexLS.com tut on taking apart the center console then go a couple steps farther by taking apart the shifter bevel.

you need a #74 bulb or LED equivalent.
