Default Replacing Broken Key Case for '90 LS400??

Hey guys, just wondering if there was some way to just replace the case for the master key for a '90 LS400. Key and remot work fine, but the hook part that you use to hook onto the key ring is broken.

What's my cheapest option? I've searched and have found only options like replacing the chip and keys for like $3xx (since '90-'92 cannot be programmed w/o purchasing a whole new chip set) or using Mikado Technology kit. Anything else I can do? I'd like to keep the use of keyless entry if possible. Thanks for any ideas.

I opened my old key and found that the onboard circuitry can be transplanted to another case. So I would try that.

These are made like crap, BTW. I've had every Lexus one I ever owned break. I've gotten great with carbon fiber, fiberglass, epoxy, and black paint to fix them.

Great, I guess I'll try and get a blank w/ a button on the side on eBay and see if I can do that.

Yeah, that repair sounds a bit more advanced than what I can do....
