Can somebody please tell me the largest size rim/tire that can fit on a 1998 ls 400? My brother has an set off his new S550 Merecedes and I need to know if they will fit on my car.

Don't the Mercedes have a different bold pattern all together? I thought they had a 4x something pattern where are cars are 5 x 114

try to find out the size, width, offset, rim bore, and bolt pattern. If all that is compatible, then you just have to worry about clearing your brake kit, which I've heard can be troublesome.

mercedes run a 5x120 PCD (bolt pattern) vs. Lexus/Toyota's 5x114.3 so these wheels wont even fit on the hubs. Redrilling MAY be possible but if done incorrectly compromises the integrity of the wheel structure.

Too bad they won't fit - the Benz rims are nice looking - and maybe free!

MB is 5x112 and the Lexus is 5x114.
Rather than risking a re-drill, the easier way are wheel adapters to convert the 5x114 to 5x112. This way you can have your MB wheels and not make them a difficult sell since they were not re-drilled.

the only problem with wheel adapters is that they act as spacers and lower the offset ~20-30mm. (sticks out 2-3cm+)

Since were on the topic of fitment. Is it true that all Lexus OEM wheels fit on all of the models but the Ls460?

The exceptions are the second gen+ LS's which have the larger 4 piston calipers. I'm not sure of the new '07 GS...?

all pre 01 cars can interchange wheels EXCEPT the 95+LS400 which can ONLY use Supra TT or its original wheels.

new LS460 will not fit ANY previous Lexus or Toyota wheel as the PCD (bolt pattern) changed from 5x114.3 to 5x120
