Another MPG thread for 70% local 30% freeway
Guys,
Nothing came up on search function on MPG. What's wrong with search function?
I know that LS is the best car for saving gas, but what do you get for MPG in local and freeway? I do a lot of local driving.
Thanks!

Well just to give you an idea, i drove 355 on one tank with about 40% hwy 60% city (more like urban driving 0-50mph with a couple less stops) I averaged 19mpg on premium. I have a semi heavy foot on the hwy but am easy around town. not too bad for a 4k lb v8 sedan from the 90's.

You'll average around 19-20 if you keep the revs under 2k and everything in the engine is as it should (cams not misaligned, belts in good shape)
It's not the BEST car for saving gas, but it's one of the more comfortable cars you'll buy that gets this kind of mileage.

Also if the gas prices get to you... think of how trouble free these cars still are after 10+ years. No mechanical problems even after 8 months and 15k miles. Just simple routine/preventative maintainence.
