Common Problems Fixed
I thought I would share some of the common problems I had on my '96 LS that I was able to fix, either by looking on this forum or just playing around.
First, the cigarrette lighter didn't work, on this forum someone mentioned soldering the rear part of the Cigarrette Lighter Housing. When I took it off sure enough there was a 1/8 of inch, dirt looking thing. All I did was soldered the loose connection and my lighter is working.
Next, my Valentine One Hardwiring. I couldn't find an exact step by step DIY on this forum. But I figured it can't be too hard. After removing the light cover by the sunroof and removing the three screws holding the lights fixture, I tried a few wires and the one I went with was the green colored wire, there's only one wire with green in it. Only one bad downside about this wire, it's always powered. It's the stealth look on the Driverside Sun Visor.
Lastly, I noticed a slight shimmy/vibration when I got to 55mph or more. I remembered from my last car I had the same issue. I was told to get it road force tested using a Hunter GSP 9700 machine. I took it to my local tire shop that had one. And sure enough it fixed it!! The previous owner just put a brand new set of Michelins on the car before he sold the car to me along with brand new '02 LS Chrome wheels!
Now my '96 LS has almost everything working perfect, except the hardwire IPOD. PureDrift Hurry Up!!! J/K, take your time. I'm using the cassette player adaptor for now, sounds pretty good, except for some occasional whinning.

I just did the iPod hook-up in my 96 last week-end...
Wow, what an improvement over the FM transmitters I've tried.
It was really pretty simple once I researched the connections for the radio and the removal process for the dashboard parts.
I can give you further details if you're interested.
Good shooting on the fixes.
