I hit 128 in my 99, ended up popping the front tire and having a flat within minutes, wasn’t worth it lol!

 

how old are the tires and what's the speed rating? 128 really isn't that fast especially for something like the LS, so something definitely wasn't good with the tires. this is another reason why i'm annoyed at how it's becoming more difficult to find a V rated tire in 225/60R-16 size, most are only an H (still 130 mph). i'm pretty sure the only one that's still a V is the goodyear eagle rs-a.

 

Idk the speed rating, but there cooper cs5 ultra touring. They only have 1,500 miles on them, I got it fixed though.

 

Thank goodness at least that this car is so amenable to other wheel and tire combos.
