Question 98 LS 400 Tailight Mods?

What can i do, to customize the look of my factory 98 ls 400 tailights?

and nothing except maybe smoke them or red-out them.

He could clear them and/or an LED conversion.

Reminds me, I picked up a Hakko 936 ESD soldering station and haven't got to some of my fun projects.

how can u clear the tails?

unless u mean buying RCR tails.


LED conversion is possible, LOADS of work tho from what i understand.

Disassemble the lens, sand the inner baffles out, polish and reassemble. Given this takes the proper tools, a detail sander, rotary tool and appropriate buffers, it may not be in everyone's garage. The time to do this also makes it a challenge if this is your daily driver. Hi output LEDS are available and as long as it is apart, this would be a good time to do this. (Easily said of course.)

i alwasy thought that the plastic lense on the taillight itself was colored


im happy with my new RCR tails

are you baking the lens to disassemble? and are the LEDs plug and play? lastly where would be the easiest place to get them?
