I have a new 2001 LS430.

I had the dealer swap out the 17 inch summer tires for 225/60/Wr tires.

The sticler in the glove box says 30 psi.

The Lexus service mgr says 32 psi.

Which is correct?

Thanks

30 or 32 is not a big difference. For winter driving if you expect to be in a lot of snow and ice then I'd recommend a lower pressure. 30 is fine. But you probably won't notice much difference. Check the recomendations stamped into sidewall of the tire and follow the tire manufacturers specs.

Do not go by what is on the sidewall. That is the maximum air pressure the tire is rated for. The same brand tire will use different air pressure depending on the vehicle it is used on and the pay load. Normally your door jamb or owners manual will state the proper air pressure for each size tire, if not contact www.lexus.com and you can e-mail them the question.
