Suneed, If you are in SOCAL I can show you how to install it and bend it if needed.

Thanks for the offer, I'm in the Bay Area unfortunately. The installation doesn't look too bad, I just need to get it on there tight. I'll attempt to do so tonight and take pics etc. I shouldn't need to bend the bar, its supposed to fit fine.

Did you notice any handling benefits? I'm skeptical.

So once I install the Tokico's the improvements will be more dramatic? We'll see. I also received the strut bar in a condition that seemed slight used. The chrome metal bar part seems roughed up. I saw a post earlier abotu how someone had this experience with LMW, just thought I'd share mine as well.

Just curious, once you tweak/bend the bar, doesn't that take away from what you're trying to achieve (A solid and even brace between the shock towers)? Unless you bend the bar evenly on each side?

I guess I'm a little confused on how a modified strut bar would function the same as model specific piece that has been engineered to fit that application?

On a basically stock set-up, you won't notice. When you stiffen the suspension and go to a low profile tire/wheel combo, some of the flex may show up if you are tuned to your car. There are a lot of forgiving componets in the LS to overcome though.

Nice work Mike! I think you hit it on point with this statement:

"Just count the number of turns so when you do the opposite side it is symmetrical. (Or number of pumps if using a hydraulic jack.)"

Great info, I was under the impression (and there probably is a percentage of people out there) that people were just trying to tweak a strut bar just to fit without any thoughts on how it will affect the vehicles handling.

Still not sure if I need to bend the bar. If I need to, Mike your post will definitely come in handy. I'll try installing it tonight. Speaking of which, I need to do my struts too. It seems like installing the front struts is pretty straight forward, but doing the rear's requires a spring compressor and such. Anybody have a tutorial on this?
