I had the brake pads changed and the rotors turned and now the 90LS has a mushy pedal as well.
Had the shop bleed the brake lines 3 times. but no use.
Any other suggestions ?

check the lines and make sure u dont have any leaks or kinks.

also have a mech look at the Brake Master Cylinder, might be loss of pressure. or if it feels more floaty then actually foot to the floor, the pads may just need to be broken in.

Had the lines checked, no leaks. Fluid level is also intact.
What, in terms of master cylinder, should be checked. I told the mech. that it could be air in the master cylinder and he said that if there was air, it will be flushed out while bleeding the brakes through the 4 wheels. Not sure if that is really correct.
The LS has trac as well. And the shop had no idea about how to bleed lexus traction.
Any suggestions on how to bleed the trac system ?

Go with the goodridge ss lines. LexLs has a good tutorial on these lines: http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/brake/SSbrakelines.html.

It can take up to 2 weeks of driving/braking for the pads to seat themselves and align themselves for optimum braking. After 2 weeks if things don't improve, you may have a problem.

Here's a link on how to bleed the traction system. .
However, the question that remains now is how to operate the traction pump which the manual states should just run when the engine starts. well it doesnt.
Any ideas ?
more over the 90LS, there is no bleeder on the traction accumulator like it shows here in the manual. anyone knows why not ?

Brakes should not be mushy..... period. Something is wrong.

If they are, there is a problem. I would suggest that there is air somewhere in the system. I don't know the solution however I do lnow that it should be corrected promptly for the sefaty of you and the idiots driving around you. They should be firm.

make sure the sliding pins slide. this could cause a mushly pedal
or too much lub on the pads its self

I've had a hell of a time getting my brakes back. Lexus replaced Master Cly , calipers, bled system then sent home with same intermident problem after charging $2K.

SOLUTION: the vacumn hose FROM AVC? module on bottom of Power Steering pump draws it's vacumn from the manifold (front center )and from the hose past mass meter on air box. Just follow 2 vac hoses coming up side of PS pump to manifold.

If the manifold has a air leak it appears that the Power Booster flakes out. I removed the hoses at the manifold & put rubber caps on manifold inlets. On 20 mile test drive, I had brakes again.

I knew that something was wrong, dealership said that problem was now Power Booster & Proportioning Valve and probally Trac System. Since they have mastered screwing up a wet dream, I was not about to trust them again with the car!!

Overview: A vacumn leak can cause brake problems as strange as it seems.
