Quick question to all the mechanically inclinded, for the 1st gen LS,
what do I exactly need to do when I want to change my brake lines. I got new rotors and pads coming in, and I plan on changing the brake lines to SS. I assume its just remove and replace. and I believe the correct torque setting on the nut is 24 lbs
Which SS lines are you thinking of? Link? I've been thinking about installing SS lines too. Hopefully the new lines would come with washers...
Install would be simple, then you just bleed the brakes. The correct torque on the nut that holds the brake line to the caliper is 22 ft-lb in the front, and 17 ft-lb in the rear.
i got the goodridge SS lines. I didnt feel like takign a chance to save 10 bucks and buy the ebay brand. They do come with washers.. i wonder what the exact steps are to change thes guys, cuz everyone gives me a different procedure everytime.
It feels like a have a whole new brake pedal! Stopping is MUCH better than it was before, more responsive, quicker stops. As I say in the tutorial, this is a good value mod. You get a lot for your money.
