Hi, i recently found my old power steering pump that i had removed because of a bad seal. I was told that i could purchase a kit to replace that seal. I was wondering if this was true, and if it was, where would I go to purchase one?

I getting ready to do a PS pump rebuild myself. Just need to buy a few more things and I'll be set. Anyway, Lexus makes a gasket kit for doing PS pump rebuilds because the gaskets fail over time.

PS pump gasket kit for 90-94 = 04446-30173 ~$25 from irontoad.com
Bearing for PS pump 90-94 = 90363-17017 ~$10 from irontoad.com

Most people don't replace the bearing but I figure, why not, it's only ten bucks? If anything it's good peace of mind.

You can get these parts from any dealer, although the prices will be at least 20% higher, irontoad.com, or luxurymods.com

 

The power steering kits are also available at www.newlexusparts.com.

Click on steering parts. Eventually, you will see a part called "seal kit." The prices range from $23.77 to $24.81 for the various Lexus models.
