When I fire up my 90 LS400 it idles fine. If I accelerate I feel a slight vaibration and my Engine light come on. I checked for codes and got # 52 which is Knock Sensor. I don't want to just replace parts "***** nilly" and have no positve results. The wires alone cost around 100. Is there one thing I should look into? Thanks, Dan

 

If the CE light came on and the code says Knocking, you might want to see if the coils are arcing onto another surface or the plug(s) are bad..
Perform a tune-up on the car if it hasn't been done in a while.

look at your wiring very carefully for rodent damage..If you do decide to replace your knock sensors,do the knock wires at the same time....
