Angry Rack is leaking...

I have a 94 LS400 with 151K on it and the rack is leaking. I've known that its been leaking for a while.. it was a really small leak, and the dealer mentioned it last time we took it in for major service (3 months ago), but now I have to fill up the PS flud resevoir atleast every week, depending on how much driving I do. The dealer wants $2200 for a new one, and $1275 for a rebuilt assembly. Does this need to be replaced right away? Are these prices reasonable? I know its an expensive job, but is there anywhere else I can find the part to save money? I'll try giving John @ Exact Motorsports a call... does anyone here know of a totaled LS from which I might be able to buy this part? Thanks!

Factory reman rack should be about $450 + 200 core. They are tough to come by tho (IE Demand > Supply)

$450 is assuming a dealer isnt gauging list *too* much..

i own a 91 ls 400. I didn't install, i paid $175.00 on labor for installing it also include re-alignment and also refil the fluid. Too big of a job to do it yourself its not worth it. The shop is in Monterey Park called Toyota Specialist. They only do Toyota related vehicles.
