Thumbs down All Lexus brakes click

Own 2003 LS430, just back from dealer for 10,000 mi. service, unserviced. One of the service items (warranty) was my complaint that the brakes have clicking noise at low speed (at least thats when I can hear it). "They all do it" said they, can this be true? One spends $60 large for this?
I have 2001 Acura 3.2 CL type S, no such noise exists.
Dealer explanation " Lexus uses "floating pads in the caliper"" There is a tech serv bull for "moaning" brakes, mine click, no moaning.
It would be nifty if there was a way to poll all users of this site.

bull again.
You need new ss pad clips---or you can remove them and bend the tabs so they pressure the pads better. only takes a 17mm(open) and a 14mm(any) and needle nose pliers. do it yourself and forget the "dealer".
Note that if it is only on one wheel then you only have to do that wheel and no more.

My '04 brakes don't click either, but I've also never had my dealer try the "they all do that" with me either.

I suggest that you keep bringing it in, get your free loaner, and let them finally decide to fix it.

Thumbs up

Thank you buttons. You must be a Toyota/Lexus trained tech?
The best to you and yours.

Default Lexus brake clicks

buttons, what does "moved" mean? Sent Brian an email, no response.
I sent dealer a note describing your fix, no response, yet.
Again, thanks for your interest.
Will update you on outcome as it happens.
Perhaps you saw the post about tilt/tele, parts ordered, back to dealer 4/21 for installation and hopefully they will fix brake click per your technical input.
Thanks again.
