Default Tilt / Telescopic Problem ?

A few days ago I started my car a the steering wheel just move out and no tilt.I tried the switch and it made a click sound. The next day I started the car and it went to it's set spot, but the switch would not move it up and down only in and out. Now today everything worked fine. I looked at other threads but my problem seem very different.................Anybody have some advice?????????

That's happened to me a couple times. The times it did it was either VERY cold or the battery was almost dead. When the car doesn't have the juice I think it just limits the non essential systems, just a theory. Now since you're in CA the cold obviously isn't your problem. The only thing I can say is check to see if your battery holds a charge, otherwise don't worry about it.

Any followup to this yet? I noticed my telecopic feature had died saturday. I hear the motor or relay click when I pres the switch, but no other sounds, no grinding, no nothing.
