Default Battery drain?

I haven't driven my car for a week and I started my car this morning. I noticed that the starter was weaker than usual. The car started, but then it stuttered and stalled. I had to restart the car and hold the revs at 3K for about 15 seconds before it would idle.

The only electronics I have are a Garmin GPS and a Harman Kardon Drive + Play 2, both of which were turned off when the car was off. Besides, the car cuts power to the cigarette lighter when off.

Has anyone else seen this problem? Is it a battery problem?

I don't know, but I wouldn't be revving my car to 3k when it's cold...I'm sure holding the RPM at 2000-2500 would have accomplished the same thing, and you wouldn't be putting strain a cold motor which is just about the worst thing you can do to your car.

Really it turned of after the first start? Wow I had my TSX sitting for a week and a half and when I started it crack two or three more times than normal, I assume it was bc of the battery was draining. Any who the car just started and I let it idle for like less than 5 mintues so it can recharge a bit, but it didn't turn of.

Yeah am with BlitzSix you shouldn't have rev your car when it was a hard cold start.

I stored my car for 4 months and it was fine. I started it every 4-6 weeks.

hmm... thanks guys. Now I know not to do that.. I figured I do that already when I start the car and drive off, so I wasn't doing anything different. It was a one-time issue and I haven't seen it since.
