Default 98-00 Exhaust Headers

Im looking at getting a set of the PPE engineering headers for my 99, already have a full custom cat-back, (dual 2.5 into X-pipe into resonators). My question is, has anybody installed these headers into the 98-00 cars, if so were there any clearance/installation issues? I understand the exhaust studs have to come out, and that removing the driver side manifold requires the rack and motor mounts to come out.

All I can add is that if you're also into having them look good, I would have them coated before installation. Even though they're made of 304 stainless, the surface will corrode. Probably has something to do with the tubing not being passivated after forming.

SLP Tri-Y headers; 304 stainless (uncoated)

Ceramic coated, SS exhaust system.

Yes, I would have them ceramic coated. Bumping thread, still looking for anybody who has installed headers on the 98-00 VVTI motors, want to know the specifics of clearance/space issues.
