Place in NZ making shorty headers for the 1uz so of course will fit the 3uz as well .
You can even get them with the merge collector not welded on so you could finesse them a bit . https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/c...ing/3997151636

They 100% do not fit the 1uz headers hit 3uz cars steering shafts, and do not clear on the passenger side. PPE makes a great set of headers if thats what your looking for.
Any one actually install a set of headers? I'm sitting on my set of ppes and apparently it's a huge job, like 10+ hours, my mechanic say there's no room to work as I was planning to get him to do it while I am doing the timing belt.
It's just a heads up for what looks like a nice set of headers , the unwelded set can be adjusted to clear wrong hand drive !!
I probably will not run headers even though I run a M112 Charger on an Elate Manufacturing manifold , yes probably would be better but not enough to be worth the effort .
I have a TVS1900 sitting on the shelf with an Elate plate on the bottom so it will bolt straight on and that will be a significant upgrade !!

Yes I installed on my car for 5 years, it took me and my friend 8 hours to do it. We heated up each bolt with a torch to make sure nothing snapped off. Also the steering shaft has to disconnected and the heat shield on it has to be removed or it will rub on the headers. If you have any more questions ask away.

The exhaust manifolds are the most restrictive part of the exhuast system you will see much bigger gains if you replace them. If your putting in all this effort with the SC whats another couple hours to do headers.

Hello 05ls430518
I would like some help
I am taking off the driver side manifold, I am going to change it because I belive its a ticking noise coming from there. Right now I have come to the point where the lower steering shaft is in the way.
Can you explain how you mastered that problem?
Thanks in advance

Tie the steering wheel with the seatbelt like in the photo below. After you get the wheel tied take the hear shield off that is on the steering shaft, the heat shield does not need to be reinstalled. After taking the heat shield off, loosen up the bolt that holds the shaft in place and it should come apart no problem. Buy a new bolt and crush washer from lexus to make sure the shaft stays tight and does not give any unwanted vibration down the line.
