Default Headlight Intermittently Working

guys, i have a dilema.

my driver side headlight H4 bulb is acting kinda funky. sometimes when i turn on the lights, it won't turn on, sometimes it does. when it doesn't turn on, if i smack the housing of the light, it will turn on. but when i popped the bulb out, it looks fine, the filaments still look good. so i don't know, what could be wrong? could it be the bulb since if i smack the housing, it will turn on? any info would be great.

you sure that the power connector is good? is yes, then maybe it's a sign of dying bulb? btw, it's 9006 or HB4

rominl,

when i posted this thread, it was orginally in the LS forum for my ls400, but i guess it got moved over here. yeah, it's an H4 bulb, not a 9006 like my GS. don't know why, the filaments on the bulb look perfectly fine. maybe the wire harness to the bulb might be dirty? i'm gonna take another crack at it this weekend.
