Default Many HID Questions

Hello guys.
I did a few searches, looked around and am still confused so please excuse me if this has been covered. I own a 1998 Lexus GS 300. It did not come stock with HID and I now am looking into obtaining a HID system. I have seen many online retailing for between 300-600 dollars. The question I have is, where to buy from, thats a reputable place, and which to buy. I'm looking for and have read that close to stock is around 4200K but when searching sites I have yet to find it. I'm clueless as to the d2s or d2r and what not but I'm hoping you guys can help out. Once again, sorry for not being able to find the information myself but I commonly overlook things so maybe I did once again?

Thanks again.

-Anthony

no problem, all the answers you want are here

you need 9006 type, d2r and d2s are pure hid setup bulb type, you have halogen so you need the one that's for your headlight, which is 9006

yes if you want close to stock hid good, go with 4100k - 4300k

autolamps-online.com and suvlights.com seem to be the most reputable stores around

www.suvlights.com is absolutely great! Jen (the owner) used to work for McCulloch HID and knows everything about it. I just oredered a set of 5000k-5800k from him and he sent me new ballasts that will not be avaliable for another 2 weeks

Talk to him if you have any questions on HID's. Very knowlegible guy!

P.S. Why am I recommending him appart from his great business activities? The quality HID's from him cost $400! You just have to pay the actual shipping!

Yeah Phillips are the best... I've had mine for 8 months and I use my lights whenever my car is on the road.. And I haven't had any problems yet..
