I have the wiring diagram for the GS,

To use the factory switch: just have to short 2 wires, I was gonna do this a while back, but I was too lazy to remove the fuse box (driver side, interior) to get to the wires, so I decided not to.

Or using an extra switch:
You can also find the relay used to turn on the fog light (driver side fuse box), cut the relay open, insert a GND (ground) wire into the relay (on the GND pin control by the factory switch), put a switch to control this wire, put the relay back, then you can the control the fog light anytime time you switch the ground wire to ground (ie (-) )

Looks like another good DIY mod for your web page and CL. Not that you really need too, since you have done so many already.

hey anh if you can try it out that'd be great. i think the best way is always to just use the stock switch, we have enough switches in the car. trust me that's going to be one of the most popular diy!

well not sure i would agree on this one. in fact a lot of european luxury cars allow that coz' it's legal there. for example if you get a bimmer you should be (at lesat in the prev gen) able to turn on fogs and parking lights but not headlight. i kinda like the look sometimes
You can do it still on the MY00+ BMWs

yeah I've been waiting to do this mod for the longest time now.. That's the reason why I don't have HID's in my Fogs yet.. i know on the IS300's it's a piece of cake to do it but on the GS's it's a tad harder.. I was going to have my guy at Lexus do it for me but he wants to run it off a different switch.. I don't want that.. So I guess I'll wait till Anh hooks us up with the DIY....

Does anyone know how to make the fogs stay on when the highbeams are on? I own an SC400.
