for some reason I noticed the new GS's the HIDS look like a 6000k light but are very very clear.. is that because of the housings? or is it the bulb? I have seen 6000k lights in IS's andthey dont look as clear as the new GS's do....??
I am glad I read this. I find that my 6000K kit is a bit blue for my taste and was thinking about exchanging the bulbs for 4100K's. I don't know if Autolamps-Online will do this with used bulbs and I don't know if it would be worth it.

i wouldn't go back to 4100k. i am on the same boat as you, had halogen and now using 6000k hid kit. quite blue but i love it. in general it doesn't look bad at all, and it's definitely not as blue as what you see on bimmer or audi from some angles.
i have 6000k hid on all my cars, some time ago i put my gs4 in service and they gave me a brand new es3 for loaner.... omg.... that hid is so yellow compared to my 6000k. try it and see if you still wanna go back
Thanks, I really think that I will get use to it and the color will a fade a bit over time. Plus I do not think Autolamps will take these bulbs back and exchange them for the 4100k's AND credit me back $79.00 . I have also seen other posts about people who have changed to the 6000k from the 4100k and find it is much better.

hehe, yup, they will probably even charge you fees anyway, if anything, 4100k and 6000k should be just as bright, i really can't tell the difference in terms of usable light. but since 6000k is whiter it seems to light up more area.
and umm.... after time as it fade it should get bluer and bluer actually
Their are many post on the subject of light just do a search. But I can tell you 2 things: 4k will have more light output than 6k and bmw's get the blue tint from the reflector or projector what ever its called.
