The headlights... I know exactly what you are talking about. Check out the thread "Clear Corners". It was started by MCElliot, I contributed to it when I took apart my headlights as well. It is how you get clear corners as well, but while the headlamp is apart, I cleaned it. It looks much better...

if it's on the outside, and just looking a little cloudy, take off the headlight, and if you have a buffer, use a corse cloth. shine it up with some wax after. should look crystal clrear.

I was just searching on this last night since I'm planning on doing the clear corner mod soon. There's a thread titled "94 ES300 headlights" by Egainer in which he describes how to remove the headlight assembly. Thanks Eric. Do a search for that topic or for "headlights" and you'll find the thread.

Default The cheapest and easiest menthod

Here's the most cost effective and easiest method. Use tartar control toothpaste and an old toothbrush on the lens. Take your time and work on it for a bit. It should remove that haze. Or if you like, try rubbing compound.

Good Luck!

If you don't know how to, don't bother with the clear corner/internal headlight cleaning mod. ES headlights arent cheap.

Talking HK

In HK (Hong Kong) the ES300 there all have clear conrners and doesn't have reflectors with different side corner light patterns. It comes standard for all of the ES300 in HK and you can buy them for like 200HKD ( 200HKD = 40CDN). Anyone want clear corners should go to HK. hehe~

Ok, I just tried cleaning the outside... And most of the haze is in fact outside. So I will try flipside's toothpaste method, since that seems to work well on all my pairs of white shoes... muahahah. Will be back with the outcome.

Did it, and it sorta worked, but most of the "dirt" is still there. Forget it, I can live with dirty headlights.

you need a rubbing compound... toothpaste is not course enough.

Goto your general motor accessory store and ask for paint rubbing compound... that will shift anything! even small scratches on your paintwork.

Rub that around in a circular motion around the headlights.. after a minute or two wipe it all off with a nice clean rag... voila.. very clean headlights!

My lights were very bad! this removed the dirt and fading plastic.

i even did my rear lights too and the fender.

Note!.... if you rub your scratches on your paintwork with rubbing compound always make sure you wax the paintwork afterwards. if in doubt ask the guys in the accessory store.
