I just received my fog light hid kit from xenondepot.com, its the volt 6000k version, well it appears both of the ballast are DOA, I'm pretty pissed off considering I'm driving to philly after X-mas and I wanted more light/better look, ahhhhh this sucks. As far as I know the stock fog light harness should provide enough power for the ballast right?, I even tried connecting them to the high beams and no luck .
I don't think the volt kits comes with relays because they use the digital slim ballasts which draws less current than those big magnetic ballasts. Did you check the leads from the fog harness to the ballast connector? It should be positive to neg and neg to postitive.
Thanks for the advice guys, it turns out the connectors on the fog lights have reverse polarity for some reason. I figured the odds of having 2 dead ballast is slim considering xenondepot.com has a really good reputation so I took out the ol' trust volt meter and was a little embraced that I didn't think of this before. I'm not sure if this is a problem with the way the kit is wired or maybe just lexus wiring.
I searched here and an owner of an IS-350 had the same problem with reversed polarity, but instead of pulling out the leads all you have to do is reverse the connectors that come with the ballast, just rotate the male or female 180 degrees and plug them in, can't wait to light up the road!, sorry if I gave any bad rep to xenondepot.com, these guys make a high quality kit

You really can't mess it up since they made it fool proof, you can only connect male to female, as far as putting the kit together it's really fool proof.
You do lose a little, but it's not that noticeable. I've got 6000k's in my 2GS and with one stock bulb and one 6000k bulb, I coudn't tell the difference in output. The age of my stock bulbs was probably a small factor in that but I still don't think you'd notice a big difference. Now when you go 15000k, that's when you lose alot of output.
You lose approx 20% of light output going from 4300k to 6000k. Philips 4300k bulbs are rated at 3200 lumens whereas 6000k bulbs are rated at 2400 lumens.
that much output is lost? didnt know that. but then again after getting the fogs converted to HIDs also its hard to tell. oh well when i swap in some LEds with more light for the parking lights that should match things up.
Does anyone make a HID bulb at 5000k, where you would still get high lumen output, but in a cooler/blue light color?
Also I went to your website, but didn't see Lexus listed in the Fog Lamp area.
