Default Headlight dilema

I want to paint the inner chrome part of my headlights blk, my question is will this decrease the output of my H.I.D's or my D.R.L's?

it wont affect your light output bc the headlights are projectors and dont rely on reflection of the light like other cars. i painted my lights with no problem

NO..in fact painting it other than chrome will increase your output not because of more power LOL, but because there are less glare. If you look at newer cars, you can see most of them have black housing, or at least parts around the reflector or projector to minimize glare. Some of them have a silver painted color which does the same thing.

I'm really worried about the D.R.L's since i just got some nice L.E.D.'s for them and they're not projectors like the lowbeams so i'm thinking it'll look weird.

Here's a pic for reference.

This is what you can paint without affecting any of your lighting output.

BTW, your pic sucks...

I'm gonna do the lights but leave the tails stock, or maybe just tint the clear part in the middle.
