Question Swapping Ballast?

Does anyone know if you can switch ballasts? And will this affect light output or anything? One of my ballasts went bad and I need to replace it with a different ballast but I don't know if it will change anything.

Don't think ballast will change output or whatever....you can mix and match, they basically do the same thing

You have D4S in your 2IS. I remember posting about swapping a D2S ballast into the 2IS a while back, but no one seemed interested. ('cause it involves elbow grease)

Make sure if you plan on using your D4S bulbs, you use a D4S ballast.

If you want to upgrade to higher output, then go with 2 D2S ballasts, and 2 new Philips 85122+ bulbs.

If you still have warranty on the car, your ballast will be replaced for free by Lexus, as long as they find your OE D4S bulb in there.

I think if you switch ballast, it'll affect you're AFS. In other words, the motors for your projectors might not move anymore.
