Adjusting Low Beam
This may be a really stupid question but I looked really quickly at my car to see if you can adjust the height of the low beam/of the headlight, to raise the height of it... is it possible on sc300/400s? I'd greatly appreciate it because I think my headlights are a tad low.
its possible.. erm... i dont own an SC but adjusting headlights is typically the same for more cars.. (speaking about newer ones at least...) im not sure where your car falls under...
the newer cars.. pop the hood... look for a peice near the headlight housing that looks like those rotary tools for cutting out big holes in the walls..basically a small metal circle size of a dime... with teeth on it.. sick a philips in it and turn away... play with the direction to see what makes it go up and down...
for older cars... its a bit more complicated... you need some sort of rig.... that hooks up to the outside of your car to adust.... that i dont know how to do anymore... i didnt take good notes in highschool auto shop class....
hope this helps... its kidna hard without pictures.. check the owners manual.. there might be something there that tells you how to do it also....

I've done it on other cars and its usually pretty simple. I'm just thinking I'm really blind..... any SC owners wanna help quickly ? it's not a big deal, it's just annoying that its not as high as i want it to be.
it can be done. had the same problem when i put my HID's in. was looking for my thread but it must have got deleted. anyways.
if u look on the outer side of the headlight. u'll see a grey stick thing sticking out. get a raqucet(sp?) or something to turn it. and it'll move it up or down. it's on the outer side of it. if u can't find it i'll take a picture of it later on for u. the passenger side is easy to get to, the driver side...well...that's a biotch because the battery is in the way...
but can't miss it, grey stick looking thing sticking out, wit like a **** at the end. i think a 8mm worked. one of those.
Peace out

EDIT: Now I may be really stupid, but I've been turning the little **** with an 8mm for forever and it didn't seem to change anything at all. Is there something special I have to loosen up or unclamp or anything before it can adjust the up and down or is the adjustment that mimimal? Thanks guys.
perhaps you dont really notice it...? do you know how to do headlight adjustments? like drive up to the wall... mark off where the bright spots are... back up 25 feet... (level ground) and match the bright spots.... if you're doing this in your garage.. you really wont be able to tell the difference until you drive or adjust ir from far away...

^ that adjusts the left/right low beam adjustment, your car looks awesome from the sig. Are those Volks GTUs?

here is what you must turn to adjust the height...If i remember it's clockwise to adjust them up. pics courtesy of planetsoarer

i just want to make sure im doing this right..
drive close to a wall. mark off the bright spots. pull back 25 feet and match up the bright spot to whats marked off. my question is this. if it matches up horizantally then i know that the up down does not need to be adjusted but if 25 feet away the bright spots are closer together, should the left right be adjusted that it matches the marked off spot or is it common to be more narrow the further away you are?
