Default headlight low beam adjustment

i've recently change my HIDs to 6,000k for the low beam and fogs and noticed that my low beam aim is kinda low. it almost blends in with the light comming from the fog lights...

i was wondering how do you adjust the low beam headlights of the IS to make the aiming higher... thanks

Do you have AFS? If you do, it's really simple. If you don't it's a big more complicated.

Take off your engine covers.
You'll find a slot near the back of the headlights to shove a screwdriver in and turn. It looks like a cog.

That's the hard way if you have AFS. You have to adjust both horizontal and vertical to get it right.

Theres a rear bolt that controls the AFS in the rear suspension area. I remember lobuxracer posted a photo of it a while ago...

I'll have to dig it up when so i can adjust it later this summer

hmm why is that when we put aftermarket HID's it throws off the aiming of the headlight. Thats so weird, i also had to adjust with the cog. It was shinning really high and i notice it was really annoying to other drivers lolz. It aims low and perfect now after the adjustments

What's even funnier is my local dealer made me leave my car for 2 days so their "master tech" could adjust my headlight. They said none of the available techs knew how to do it. Nice.

Its not that the bulbs throw it off adjustment, its just the 6k bulbs just emit less light then 4300k bulbs so you need to adjust the lights up to see as good. Hence why I only change to 4500k to get that slight blue look
