Default Hyper White = Yellow?

Hey guys. I just put some new PIAA Hyper White 9005 bulbs into my DRL/high-beams in my 04 RX, but my lights come in slightly yellow. Can this be an electrical issue, or are these lights really not that white? My battery did need its first recharge last week, and I thought it might be that, but I want to effectively troubleshoot. I tried searching and google, but that was fruitless. Any ideas?

The reason they look yellowish is because they only run at half power as DRL. When you flash the highbeams they should look white.

What he said. No matter what bulbs you put in there, they are gonna be yellow since they run at 50% power. They'll be white if you drive around w/ your high beams on.

Nope, they're yellowish on high-beam, too.
