Question My 9005 DRL's!

hey guys i swapped my original drl's for some PIAA 4000k super white bulbs and they are not the color they are suposse to be . i already tried like three pairs of different brands of halogen bulbs and they are still yellow instead of the color they are suposse to be. what is wrong? it cant be the brands fault on the bulbs saying that they are star white or super white on the pack and they turn out yellow. what am i doing worng?

The DRL operates on 50% power and 4000K isn't going to give you a white light, it's more of a yellowish color if you want pure white you need 5000K.

Change them to yellow and then do the foglight mod with yellow fogs.

it doesnt matter which bulbs you put in, it's going to operate at 1/2 power which translate to yellow.

you may try led but you're going to lose the high beam. i don't think there is a solution but to kill the DRL if it bother you.

high beams will be full bulb color...drl will always be yellowish because the bulb isn't run at full power....
