That's a great link! I would also look into using the projectors from an Acura TSX. That's what I used, couldn't be happier with them. Here is a link to someone who did a TSX retrofit: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=232340

I would try a search. There have been many threads on how to open up the headlights. O.L.T. put together a great DIY on cleaning up the headlights, which includes how to open them up. Here is the link: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=183023

Did you take out the screws under the inner wheel well?

In a magical place beyond the warddrobe.......

You pull the wheel well cover off from infront of the wheel *taking out the screws holding it in place of course, untill you can fold it back, and then you will see two nuts holding the headlight in.

I am not sure I understand the point to doing all of this.

If it just to get a better beam pattern or do you have to go through all this trouble to put hids in.

In my matrix I just bought bulbs and a balist.

Retrofit gives a MUCH better beam pattern than the typical factory SC projectors.
