Ok, I have a problem. Im not sure what it is, I have had 2 different sets of LEDs in the license plate lights, and both did the same thing. The lights are the right size and everything, but all the sudden(I bought like the 9 LED bulb from superbrightleds.com) a few of the LEDs will go out in the bulb, and then it starts acting weird, looks like a strobe light. Im not sure whats going on. I do have an exhaust and its pretty vibrateish, not sure if thats what causing it.
Also, its just one bulb, and both times its the same bulb. The other bulb is fine. Any suggestions?
This is a problem I run into when dealing with some LEDs at the shop. The problem lies in the resistors; when they start going out, the light sometimes strobe or shutoff.
Tell me. The same bulb that is going out - is it furthest from the wires/circuit?
polars are fine, just as bright. the LED bulbs don't really get to point in the proper direction in the trunk lid of the 2nd gen gs so the polargs are comparable.
I also had the same problem with the leds that you are talking about in my gs. I purchased the 194 WLED-WHP LED Wedge Base Bulbs and after a year one of them is fine while the other one got slightly dimmer which I sent in for warranty. but I have 2 12"s in the trunk so they go thru a lot of abuse and they have held up very well. I would invest in those bulbs, plus they are brighter than the ones that you are using now.
