Anyone tried NBO HIDs ?
I discovered this company in Seattle, WA
NBO (Never Burn Out) HIDs http://www.neverburnout.com/
They have a lifetime warranty and use German and Japanese hardware -
plus free shipping.
Anyone heard of them or tried their products? If so, what's your opinion?

I think what is meant by "NEVER BURN OUT" HIDs in this case is that the product's lifetime warranty will cover them WHEN they burn out.
So, technically it's a 'never burn out' warranty instead of a 'never burn out' bulb...

Yep. They CLAIM their stuff never burns out but really what they offer is a warranty to replace your bulbs for life if they go out, and your ballasts for the first 3 years. Well of course the bulbs aren''t going to go out - they're not filament based so there is nothing to break.
The gas inside WILL deteriorate over time but they count on three things:
1) You won't own your car when they burn out.
2) You'll forget where you bought them from.
3) They will ask that you provide your original purchase receipt - will you know where that is in 4 years?
I say 4 years because HID bulbs have an expected life of several thousand hours. To go through 3,000 hours of run time, with maybe an average of 2 hours of night driving a day. Keep in mind, sometimes more, sometimes less but on average... At a rate of 730 hours per year (365x2), your HID kit will last you a little over 4 years.
More than anything, it's not a technology marvel, just a marketing spin.

1) Remove the HIDs from the car if I sell it so I can put them in the next car. The lifetime warranty does not stipulate that they can only be used in the first car they are purchased for. How would they know anyways?
2) Remember where I bought the HIDs. I may be getting on in years but I'm not senile.....yet
3) Keep my receipt where I can find it. I still have receipts for things I threw out ten years ago!
