Xenon kit with 2000 rx300, do I have to worry about DRL?
I saw this on hidexpert.com:
For vehicles with DRL that use the same bulb for both DRL and low beam you will need to deactivate your DRL. DRL operate on reduced wattage or fluctuating current levels. This will cause the HID system to flicker and burn out prematurely. Please ensure that your OEM headlight harness is providing a constant 12V to ensure that no damage will be caused to the HID system.
Do I have todo anything special to my lighting system in the lexus?

Nope. I have '01 RX with stock halogens and I used a plug and play 6000K HID kit, everything works fine except I don't really use the "Auto" mode anymore I just switch them on and off manually, but you can still use Auto on for the lamps if you'd like. Our DRL is the high beam bulb by the way. I think most of the concern goes to cutoff and beam pattern, my kit puts a lot of light on the ground but the cutoff is a little jagged, nothing too serious.
