Default trying to save money on hid

Would like some advise on the best hid's for the cheapest price. Have an 99 rx300 and need 1 kit for low beam, 1 kit for high beam and 1 yellow kit for fog. Don't want to spend $900 on 3 kits. ANy suggestions?

I don't think you should worry about the high beam, because putting a kit in there will be a waste of your money in the first place. How often do you use high beams? A HID kit in your low beams with some pretty decent halogen high beams should be enough to conquer any dark country road, and also you'd have to disable the DRL if you converted to HID highs.

Maybe a bixenon projector retrofit? Then you would keep your stock halogen high beams and have the HID high beams too.

If you want to go dirt cheap with a chinese HID kit, I got one for my lowbeam for 70 bucks on ebay (+$40 shipping).
I'm not sure how long it will last...but i have an old car anyways.
You might want to invest in some high quality kits.
BTW I think getting three kits is EXTREMELY unnecessary, b/c you NEVER use your highbeams anyways. Just overkill. otherwise, consider going with a Bi xenon setup.

Like someone stated before don't bother putting an HID kit in your highbeams you will hardly use them, besides you will have to disable the drl if you have it because it will burn out your bulb prematurely. Take your money and buy 2 decent HID kits.

good comments on the high beams. for normal driving i would suggest keeping your high beams halogen so you can get that instant flash if you ever need it but for long distance driving at night, i think it may be good to have a spare set of high beam HIDs installed.

i MAY throw in a set for the vegas convoy at the end of this month - not sure yet. the great thing about kits is they can easily be swapped out for normal bulbs whenever you need to switch.

Good luck in your search.
