Default Gs Headlight Question

I have a 02 GS300 non-HID and want to purchase the HID kit from Xenon Depot. I just had both headlights replaced about 8 months ago (under warranty)due to condensation problem. I really didn't want to open these up for fear that the moisture may come back. Can I use the non-HID housings for the kit or do need to do a retro-fit? Any feedback is appreciated.

you might be able to get away with it, but you'll have to aim pretty low. Many who have gone from kit to retrofit have not regret the conversion.

A properly done retrofit would not have any problem with condensation.

When I did my retrofit I had water going into the headlights. I just put a nice bead of silicone around the outside of the headlights and the problem is gone.

So, I should have no problem with the bulb fitting or anything like that. Just need to adjust beam so I don't blind anyone?? Thanks for your help.

When I put HID bulbs in my stock halogen housings, I had a lot of glare and light shooting off of the sides of the reflector. The light output was poor and I was not happy. I do not know about the GS headlamps, but for my car, they are made different between halogen and HID housings.
Let us know how your light output is when you get them installed.
