Hey guys I just traded in my gf's altima for an '07 RX350, and I wanted to swap the Halogen headlights for HID projector headlights (not just the bulbs the actual headlights). My question is, would the headlights be plug-n-play? I want to use the projector headlights with AFS, would these work or would I need extra hardware to make it work?

The reason why I want the projector is because I just dont like converting halogen headlights to HID and having the light go all over the place. I'd like to have a clean crisp cutoff, and AFS would be a nice bonus ...

It's plug & play if you want a non-AFS, the hardest part is to drop the front bumper. Don't think it's possible with AFS.

Does anyone have a guide on how to do it for non-AFS headlight? I mean, what headlight to get, how to hookup the ballast etc. I am interested but have no idea where to start.

go online and pay 15 bucks and download the FACTORY workshop manual for the cars. it will give step by step instructions on how to do both setups... just compare them and mix and match the instructions.

What I did was I bought a used set of factory non-AFS headlights from a member here. The ballast is already inside the headlight (not a separate unit). I paid the dealer to install it for me (it took them literally 10 minutes to drop the bumper, removed the old headlights & installed a new ones in).

Correct me if I am wrong: all 07 OEM HID parts comes with AFS. You can do a direct swap but lose AFS function.
