What's up all, this is my first post, I just got my 2000 GS 300 on Monday and have been lurking the forums. Very interesting stuff on here I might add, anyways, I have some very general questions.
The headlights on my GS is fogged up, so I was wanting to replace them with the HID version with the greenish tint.

1) 1st off, is changing the headlights to HID a plug and play if I buy the OEM headlight assembly (with balalsts)from a junkyard or on ebay? Or will I have to do some wiring myself?

2) What year and model did the headlights with the greenish tint come in?

3) Besides the motor and rims, what are differences between a 2000 GS300 and 2000 GS400?

congrat on your new purchase.

1. it's not plug and play. you will have to modify your factory 9006 harness to fit the d2r plugs on the HIDs. some people cut off both ends and put on connectors. some people buy an aftermarket harness with extra fuses and relays to protect the factory system. it up to you and how you feel about safety issues. there is a whole debate on aftermarket harness or not using one.

2. 2001 is when the greenish headlights came out for both HIDs and Halogen.
