Default My Gs headlight retro

Well I started yesturday and this is what I got done today, a few problems along the way but so far so good. I really like the outcome of the paint because now they look like the limited edition sport design headlights...well even better. You can see the lense, which I sanded down and tommorow going to do a round of 2000 grit sandpaper on it cuz my hand hurts from all that sanding. I would continue to explain but I'l let the pictures speak for them selfs.

Yep its the rx300 modified projectors lol the beam pattern will look weird because there so deep inside : / well what happens is the beam pattern is cut of where the blinker is but all that will translate to is just less light on the close to the middle of the car so no biggie. And my car is silver so the paint matches the color almost perfectly im working real hard on getting these done all I have left to tackle is polishing the front lense to perfection and making an extended housing for the rear where the projector is, btw anyone know how hard it is to work with fiberglass b/c I saw some in home depot and it looks perfect to shame the housing the way I want it im just not sure if its easy to work with or not.

You have to paint the reflector otherwise you get to much glare.

Yeah depands on your projector, my rx they have openings on the sides but that doesnt matter b/c I put them way back as you can see. Projectors like the TL once or tsx there fully enclosed and you can get away w/o painting the reflector. But the point is you can paint the housing any color you want to match your car color same thing with the ferrari headlights they color match them to your car color

Not bad. Did you use fiberglass on the rear? It looks pretty clean. What are you using to polish the headlight lens? When you are finished please post up the pics of the light output and cutoffs.

Nope its not fiberglass although I considered using some. Its rubber, its a rubber shoe they put on roofing pipes I found it at home depot for like 6 bucks. It works great so far b/c I can cut it the way I want it and seal of everything. For the lense im not sure yet, I'm going to go to autozone tommorow and get a medium abraisive compound, someone here suggested it and then finnish of my headlight with 2000 grit paper b/c the highest I have now is 1500. I will put alot of effort into this lense since hopefully its the only one il ever have to sand but other then that im very happy with the way the projector is turning out.
