Default Mounting the Ballast in The 400

Where did you guys mount your ballast for HIDS when you installed them on the drivers side. Passaenger side is so easy. Also do you guys who retrofitted what wires did you connect the wires from the ballast to. Straight to the factory harness just clip the factory connecter? or a custom harness?

mine is next to the battery also...

when I did the retrofit, I tapped one wire to the stock harness to receive the signal and the power I ran directly to the battery with a thicker wire...

I used manufacturer's brackets.

They're still available...

Some of the Gen3 ballasts don't have enough cable length to sit in front.

You dont have issues with any water getting in there during rain? Looks like a bad spot to mount.

None so far. On the SC that area is completely sealed unless you have the 97+ front with the grille. And if you do, it's a small opening and the area stays relatively dry. The ballasts are weatherproof on top of that so it's no biggie.
