Reconnecting HeadLamps
Hi,
I don't know if anybody remembers, but I asked a week or two ago on how to disconnect my headlight assembly from the 2000 ES300. I was successful in doing that, pain in the rear, but successful. Now I am reconnecting them. The problem exists in that I don't remember which plug goes where. =(....Yes I am retarded in not labeling them when I unplugged them. The reason I ask is that my lows are actually replaced with HID bulbs and I don't want to connect the high beam plugs to them and have them blow out . Is there an easy way to figure out which plug goes to high beam and which plug goes to low beam?
On a side note, word of advice to anyone removing their headlamp assemblies. If you noticed, your side markers are actually connected to the headlamp. If you remove the headlamp, you can easily "fit" the side markers back into their proper spot and "think" it is okay from that point on. Well....at least that's what I thought. DON'T DRIVE the car like that. I made the mistake of doing so. The rather large gaping holes left by removing the headlights will create enough force to actually blow the side markers off the car. Crusing down the highway, when I heard something go "off" my car. Checked my rear view, saw something orange rolling along the road. I immediately pulled over checked my front and saw that my left side marker literally flew off my car. It managed to unscrew itself from the bulb and fling itself. Ran into the highway, retreived the marker, took of the other side, put into trunk and continure with drive....*sigh*...next time I'll know better.
