I've had the silverstars in my car for about 6 months now and love them, but last night I had a strange problem. I always leave my lights on the "on" position so they run when ever the car is on, even during daylight. I went out to my car to leave school last night and when I started the car, both lights came on, then one died after about 1 second (1 was still lit). Thinking it was a fluke or something, I turned the lights off, then on again. This time the same 1 that was still good lit up again, but then that 1 died after a second or two too! This left me with no headlights 10 miles from home, but luckily I followed my freind to my house with my flashers on and it was all good. I went to Autozone and they swapped out the lights for me too
Anyone have any idea what could have caused this to happen?? It's just seems so strange to lose both of them at different times, but within so close a time frame like that.
I don't think the Silverstars have a very long life expectancy (less than one year, for example). If you're constantly driving with them on (even during the day), then you might have shortened that life expectancy even more.
It sounds dumb, I know, but your bulbs might have simply died.
