I used to turn the parking lights on in my old car while driving in bad weather (rain, fog) at day time. What happens in RX is the following: although it has daytime running lights, they are on only in the front. It means in bad weather the car is not very visible to the cars from behind. No problem, I can turn the parking lights on myself. But here is the problem: the instrumental panel and LCD display become very dim so I have to adjust the brightness of both manually to maximum so I can read them. Even so they are much dimmer than when the lights are off. But when the weather clears up and I may turn the parking lights off, I have to restore brightness back to my old settings. Otherwise, it's very bright.

Kind of annoying. Any ideas?

jojo, I'm right with you on this one. I don't think there is anything to do other than what you do - adjust the brightness.
