Lightbulb BEHOLD...a Damn Good Retrofit!!!

http://hidforum.com/forum/showthread...=&threadid=328

What do you guys think? Hopfully this will show all the guys out there that you don't need to go higher than 4300K to get the result you desire (unless you like blue light on the ground...well 6000Kelvin is ok)

Check it out

I need to register so I can see the pics...I've been a lurker over there for awhile, I'm afraid if I register I'll spend all of my time posting over there ) I've seen some incredibly clean retrofits over there, and only wish I were more handy with a Dremel and a tube of JB Weld.

Cool

I love the blue light on the ground. Makes anything white look like it's under a blacklight & reflectors just seem to jump off the road for miles...

"But my eyes will get tired". Well that's why real fog lights are yellow!

Anywho, good score! That's a very good retro. Yes we all know 4300 is brighter, but 6K Phillips just has the greatest warmup ever!

Can that mod be done for a GS? I always loved the way MB has the round headlights with a projector in the middle.

Yes, there was a thread a while back with a clean retrofit of BMW 3-Series projectors into a GS. There have also been a couple of retrofits of the composite projectors from the current style Infiniti Q45. MB didn't switch to projectors until a couple of years ago, before that, they used scatterglass lenses (look at an 01 vs. 03 S Class, or the current E vs. the last one).
