Ok. I've seen a few threads on replacing the parking light bulbs in the DRL housing and which ones match HID the best. I have these...love em

Now, I'm looking the replace the stock yellow 9005 bulbs that power the "daytime" Daytime Running Lights. Again, not the parking lights that come on with the headlights.

Those of you that have done this upgrade, I want your feedback as to which bulbs you used. I'm looking for a HID "Hyperwhite" look. Not really into the blue or purple look.

I'm thinking Sylvania SilverStar or PIAA X-treme White PLUS, but these ain't cheap. Especially interested in a good lower cost alternative.

From what I hear most bulbs at lower power (like the DRLs which are the high beams at low power) won't look very white.

 

no matter what you get for DRL, it's going to look yellow still

 

Well that sux.

I know some have installed blue tinted bulbs. I doubt they would look yellow when on. Probably more green or faint blue. I'b be interested to hear from anybody that has done this.

 

PIAA 4000K 9005 X-treme White PLUS DONT GET THESE....U will be dissapointed!! they wont be as yellow but they wont have that crisp look..you and me are probably desiring...I had these and took them back however, I must admit they did look alittle better than the regular DRL bulbs but not by much...I decided to go ahead and get the Piaa 9005 Plasma Spark Blue 7500k however, ive been waiting for a month almost because the company im going through www.extremeredline.com is on back order however, they are expecting a big shipment very very soon since the order is coming from overseas....
I cant wait...
