Default LFA audio system ?

Anybody know any details regarding the audio system in the LFA, or have a link to a review of the audio system maybe?

I know it might sound silly to care about the stereo on such a fast car, but I do

What part you want to know? How many speaker? It's EWD? Parts location?
When I was driving it locally. I kept the audio off the whole time. 1st-3rd gears play the best music around town. 4th-6th gears sound the best on highway.

LOL, that is so true. I would not want the ML system had it not been a (free) requirement to get the Nav.

Harman Powers The Lexus LFA's Mark Levinson Sound System

SEPTEMBER 18, 2010Share
Demonstrating the company's ability to bring to bear the power of its automotive, professional and consumer divisions, Harman is showcasing its first automotive expression of GreenEdge technology at CEDIA 2010 in the 2012 Lexus LFA. The $375,000 supercar features a Mark Levinson 12-speaker surround sound system powered by a 1,002-watt, 12-channel Mark Levinson amplifier, and will be on display during CEDIA Expo 2010.

Further sources of information are our Mark Levinson and Harman Kardon brand pages and our sister site HomeTheaterSpot.com's Car Thread.

The 2012 LFA's audio system is comprised of large 7 x 10 in. extended-range woofers with ultra-rigid carbon-fiber cones, high-efficiency, low-directivity compression horn loaded tweeters, and directivity controlled 3.5 in. midrange speakers. The system is powered with the same technology used in Harman's amplifiers and Lexicon's new DD-8 multi-room amplifier. The eco-friendly technology reduces power consumption and heat generation while also delivering up to reportedly 1,002 watts of total power.

Thanks guys. I was just wondering if there was some cool stuff that might pop-up in future Lexus cars.

The LFA is a wee bit outside my budget

There is. The CT has a few trickle down features that are inspired from the LFA. Mainly the steering wheel design and the interactive drive mode linked to the speedo cluster.

I'm sure ppl who own this car will only require working windows so they can roll down the windows and listen to the exhaust. Now that's music!

I've only ever used the audio while the engine was off, but it sounds great and I'm glad I opted for Config 2 with the Nav/ML system. One factor in the sound quality may be the small cabin space (I assume the smallest of any Lexus, given the 2-seat configuration), which makes acoustics easier to manage.
